BRIAN VAN BUREN
In the evening of Wednesday, November 14, 2012, Brian Van Buren passed away peacefully with family surrounding him at the Health Science Centre.
Brian was born in Winnipeg, on September 20, 1935.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Bluebell (nee Charlesworth) and twin sister Beryl.
Left to mourn are his loving wife Kristina and sons, Michael (Franca) and Jeffrey. Brian also leaves behind two step-daughters, Kristina (Stan) and Elizabeth (Joe), and grandchildren Courtney, Justin, Patrick, Luke, Adam, Joseph and Nicholas. He is also survived by brothers Hugh, George, Carl, sister JoAnn, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing will be held on Monday, November 19 at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Slovenian Roman Catholic Church, 95 MacDonald Avenue with Rev. Fr. Diosdado Parrenas as Celebrant. Interment to follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Highway 1 East and Navin Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choice.
