Obituary of EDWARD LAWRENCE STUPACK
Stupack (Lawrence) Edward
July 7, 1935 – May 13, 2020
Dad will be sadly missed by his four children Kim (Gord) Fraser, Cheryl (Dave) Caron, Darcy (Tammy) and Trevor (Linda) and their Mother Elaine. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren that he was incredibly proud of, Jess (Kayla), Kristen, Samantha, Taylor, Brent, Kevin and Natasha.
Uncle Eddie will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews for his exuberance and “You’re looking good” as well as many family members and friends.
Ed was born July 7, 1935, and raised on a farm in Brokenhead, MB. He moved to Winnipeg where he worked in the construction industry and founded Neway Drywall. For many years he continued to farm the land in Brokenhead.
He was one of five children and was predeceased by his parents, John and Elsie Stupak and his sisters Helen and her husband Paul (Yurkowski) and Adele (Ernie) Anderson. Left to mourn are his brother Donny (Yvette) and sister Lillian (Joey) Lesosky.
He spent many days at his Gull Lake cottage where the children, grandchildren, family and friends where always welcome. Because of his generosity there are so many people who have wonderful memories of the days swimming, fishing, boating, skiing, tubing and wake boarding. One of his favorite things was to spend his time training chipmunks to eat peanuts out of his shirt pocket.
Ed was a lover of nature, and enjoyed his garden and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He used to say the best day was sitting in a boat fishing even when the fish weren’t biting.
Ed was a good man who loved his family dearly and made many friends over the years. He will be greatly missed, always remembered and forever loved.
