Obituary of ANNE DOROZ
ANNE DOROZ
April 23, 1924 - November 16, 2012
Peacefully on November 16th Anne Doroz passed away at Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 88 years.
Anne leaves behind her husband Stephen, her children Carol, Bob (Eileen), and Dianna (Bill), her grandchildren Melanie (Cory) and Billy (Melody) and great-granddaughter Celecia.
Anne enjoyed her work at the Bay’s downtown tobacco shop, where she could be found always smiling and joking with her regular customers.
Anne was a member of the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Women's League and enjoyed participating in various church activities. Anne was a fabulous cook and she also loved to dance... especially the polka.
At the age of 79 Anne was diagnosed with dementia and for the past three and a half years resided on T3 Deer Lodge Centre.
Anne carried her love of dancing to the halls of T3 as the wonderful, caring staff of Deer Lodge would dance with her down the halls and accompany her to other musical activities.
A huge thank you to all the staff at Deer Lodge who became our extended family in caring for Anne. What a wonderful environment that you create for your residents.
Also, a very special thank you to Anne's caregiving companions, Diane and Barbara. Anne could not have had better companions.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the special care unit T3 Deer Lodge Centre or the Dementia Society.
A private family burial service will take place at All Saints Cemetery.
Those we hold most dear, never truly leave us…
