She was born March 27, 1931 in Taal, Batangas, Philippines and immigrated to Canada on August 28, 1981. Dorotea was a gentle, loving and generous person dedicated to her family and friends. She loved to teach her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even relatives she took care of tagalog songs and the language itself. Her pride and joy was to see her family spend time together with lots of love and laughter. She will be dearly missed and remembered by so many whose lives she touched.
The family would like to express gratitude to the Seven Oaks General Hospital Manitoba Renal Program for providing care to her in her four years of dialysis and MICU, GH4 and Dr. Timothy Hiebert along with the Palliative Care team at Health Sciences Centre for providing support, comfort and care to her and the family during her last days.
