Obituary of SHARON MARIE ANDERSON
SHARON MARIE ANDERSON
On August 13, 2020, after many years of battling health complications, Sharon quietly passed away surrounded by family at St. Boniface Hospital.
Sharon is survived by her husband John, her daughters, Lisa (James) and Rosa (Aaron) and her stepchildren, Laura (Rob), Mark (Laura) and Johnny (Danielle) along with her grandchildren, Brandon, Crosse, Kylie, Eckko, Chloe and Owen. Sharon is also survived by her mother Helen and siblings, Joanne (Ken), Scott (Colleen) and Darren (Shari) along with many nieces and nephews. Sharon is predeceased by her father Fred and her brother Larry.
Sharon was born in Wingham, Ontario and spent most of her childhood in Goderich before moving to Winnipeg in 1971. Sharon had many careers in her lifetime; to name a few, she was a Butcher, Hair Stylist and Seamstress. She loved spending time gardening and spending weekends at the cottage with John, but nothing could compare to her love for her kids and her grandkids. Her main reason to fight to survive through her long battle was her family, to be there for them and to watch her grandchildren grow.
Sharon was strong, she was a survivor, she was a real-life walking miracle who continued to beat the odds, time after time; unfortunately, this was one battle that she could not win. Her infectious laughter will be remembered, and her strong spirit and her love for others will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
A funeral service will be held at Cropo Funeral Home, 1442 Main St., Thursday, August 20 at 1:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19, only a limited amount of people will be able to attend.
Cropo currently is allowed to have 50 people in the chapel at one time. Cropo does ask that everyone practice social distancing, avoid hugging and shaking of hands. Masks are not required, but are encouraged. Limited seating will available based on the numbers in attendance, and the family will have first priority. If we are over the limit at the time of the service, guests will have the opportunity to pay their respects after the service when others have left.
There will be a livestream on this page for those who are unable to attend, which will go live 10 minutes before the service. The livestream will be available on computer and mobile devices. The livestream will be available to view for 7 days after the service.
