Obituary of BERNARD LEO MCCANN

BERNARD LEO McCann August 1, 1941 – August 17, 2020 Peacefully on August 17, 2020, Bernard, beloved husband of Phyllis passed away at the age of 79 years. He was predeceased by his parents Hugh and Bridget McCann, son Alan James, numerous brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Bernard is survived by his son Gerard (Michelle) McCann, daughter Arlene McCann-Solberg, grandchildren Anthony (Jenn), Cameron, Jonathon (Danielle), Justin (Pam), Matthew (Haley), Brayden and Alexa; great-grandchildren Danii and Akira. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #30, and enjoyed playing darts and crib with branch members. Other enjoyments included fishing, feeding his birds, looking after his tomato plants as well as camping with family and friends at Otter Falls. Bernard was a floor installer most of his life and eventually became partners with his eldest son Gerard until his retirement. Special thanks are extended to the home care workers who looked after Bernard on a daily basis. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 28 at 2:00 p.m. in Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
