Sad for the loss of a great guy. Uncle Phil you were always so kind to me. In the fall of 1981, I moved to Winnipeg to attend the University of Manitoba. You let me live at your home while I did my studies. You took time to teach me some riffs on the guitar and had interest in what I was doing.
The thing I remember most is your red Camaro convertible. It was your absolute pride and joy. Rightly so. I was 17 years old at the time and adored that car. One beautiful fall afternoon, I had to go to the university to pick up something for my homework. You tossed me the keys to the Camaro and told me to take it. I was in seventh heaven. I put the top down and cruised all the way to the U of M and back, feeling like I was a king. To this day I can't believe your kindness in trusting me with your pride and joy.
You were a very kind soul. You will be missed.
