Obituary of SHANE YOUNG

SHANE NELS YOUNG On December 1, 2012 at Fort McMurray, Alberta, Shane passed away at the age of 38 years. Shane leaves to mourn his daughter Samantha Hope of Winnipeg; son Brendan John Nels of Winnipeg; also remaining are his parents Shirley and Ronald and brother Jarett. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Roy and Josephine Young, maternal grandparents Gordon and Doreen Thompson. Shane was born on January 21, 1974 at St. Boniface General Hospital. He attended O.V. Jewitt Elementary, Ken Seaford Junior High and West Kildonan Collegiate. Following High School he attended Reimer Driving School where he obtained his Class 1 Diploma. During his school years he played Pop Warner Football, soccer and karate. In the early years his sports passion was football and his favourite team was the New England Patriots. He drove long haul throughout Canada and the USA. In recent years worked for Maple Leaf Construction and most recently a private firm in Fort McMurray, AB. He was a very wonderful son, brother, loving father and a loyal friend. He will be dearly missed by family, friends and everyone who knew him. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 8 between 4:00 p.m and 5:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, December 9 at 2:00 p.m. also at the Chapel.
