Leaves to mourn his daughter Cynthia McKay, sons Douglas R. McKay J.R., Billy Jack McKay. He also leaves 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Harvey McKay, Roger McKay J.R., 4 sisters, Virginia Stadnick, Flora Delorande, Rose Pelletier and Cecilia McKay and 2 step children Krystal McKay and Gary McKay. Also left to mourn are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts.  

Douglas was predeceased by his son Gregory McKay, mother Maryjane Clearsky (McKay), father Roger McKay Sr., brothers Raymond McKay, Ronald McKay, Robert McKay, Wallace McKay, sisters Joyce (Ewen) McKay, Florence McKay, also nieces and nephews Angela McKay, Serena McKay, Pamela McKay, Brian Mckay, Joey Ross, Catherine McKay, Raymond Beauchamp, and Dwayne Stadnick.

My father moved to Pine Creek in the mid to late seventies where he raised his family. He was very involved in the community as he was an alcohol and drug abuse counselor, member of chief and council for many years. A successful Cattle Rancher and avid hunter and fisherman, working with the elders and the young. A very skilled man with his hands, mind, very smart, kind, respectful and had great morals beliefs and values. He enjoyed making native art and was proud of his native culture. Raised his family proud and strong. A Legendary man my father. He will be greatly missed and loved. So many more great things I'd like to say. Peace, Love and Strength.
