It is with heavy hearts and sadness we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved Monique.

She was a loving, kind and caring person and a devoted mother of two wonderful boys.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving fiancée Joel Loxton, sons James Barkwell and Max Loxton, Mother Brenda Winning-Jensen (Tom Johnston) Brother James Winning, stepsisters Shelley and Denise. Father in law John Loxton and Mother in law Tracie Loxton (Robert). She will be sadly missed by her Auntie June and Uncle Ken, cousins and everyone who knew her. She was predeceased by her Father Gary Jensen and her Baba Nellie Yosyk.

Monique grew up in North Kildonan and graduated from River East Collegiate. She was a bright light who touched the lives of everyone she encountered along life’s journey. She was always there to talk and listen and help out whoever she could. She was an amazing spouse and an amazing mother.  Her greatest joys were the births of her two sons.  She loved them with all her heart and made sure to teach them how to show acts of kindness to anyone in need.

Monique touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She was a constant stream of positivity and smiles. You could see her smile from across the room. She was always known for the love of her beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. She was a kind soul and will be forever missed. Monique will always be in our hearts.

Cremation has taken place. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date so all can attend.
