Obituary of LEONARD DOUGLAS BOUCHER
Leonard Douglas Boucher
August 5, 1947 - December 31, 2020
A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife Barb; children: Joe (Linda), Christina, Kim (Pat), and Magda (Michael); grandchildren: Ali (Andrew), Becky (Jesse), Hannah (Nick), Zach (Leslie) and Cori, Franky, Ricky, Syd (Mike); great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Leo, Emilia and Catiana, Elizabeth, Jaxon; his siblings: Don (Ann), Bob (Joanne), Sharon, Yvonne, Sandra (Al); numerous nieces and nephews, and family pets. He was predeceased by his parents Kelly and Anne, and his mother-in-law Ada.
He was a kind, quiet, fun person whose desire was to make everyone laugh and smile. He loved people, nature, travelling, especially to Europe, cooking and baking. He was a self-taught musician who enjoyed playing drums, guitar, and the ukulele. He also had the same passion for art, painting, drawing, and photography which he passed on to his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed listening to jazz, classic rock, and classical music. Len was a man who loved family get togethers and BBQs where he would make his famous home-made burgers.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Maksymiuk and his team at CCMB; staff at Seven Oaks and HSC; with special gratitude to Dr. Kidane for saving Len’s life before it was taken away by COVID and nurse Loretto for his caring and compassion towards Len and his family. Many blessings to our friends for their support and kindness during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Care of Manitoba or Winnipeg Humane Society.
To honour Len’s memory and to support the cost-free music program for children, Len’s grandchildren created a charity in his name.

There will be no formal service according to Len’s wishes. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later day.
Len, you will be missed but never forgotten. We love you. Barb and family.
