Obituary of HEDWIG (HEDY) HRABINSKI
HEDWIG (HEDY) HRABINSKI
(nee KOLKE)
1937 - 2021
On February 26, 2021, three months after her 83rd Birthday, we lost our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, neighbour and dear friend.
Happy, smiling and always content. Loved and respected wherever she went. Always thoughtful, caring, generous, and kind. These are the memories she left behind.
Mom was predeceased by our dad Terry and our sister Loreen. She leaves behind her son Sheldon (Lorelei), daughters, Darcy and Celina (Duane), grandchildren, Brandin (Alexandra), Taylor and Jordyn, sister Selma (Arnold), and many nieces and nephews.
Our mom was a very caring, giving and compassionate person. Always there when you needed her. Mom was a very proud grandmother who spent every moment she could with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren will always remember her for her fun-filled sleepovers and daily adventures that seemed to never end. Mom always welcomed family and friends into her home without hesitation and was able to put together a meal at a moments notice and put on a pot of coffee to enjoy with that special something she had baked that day. She had a great love for gardening, flowers and really appreciated spending time outdoors and being by the water. Mom always looked forward to camping and day trips around the province with family and friends.
A big thank you to Mary, Marlene and Judy for spending time with and helping Mom after Dad passed away. Your support meant a lot to us all.
Thanks Mom for the memories...the life you have given us...and the lessons you have taught us. We are better people because of you. We will see you again Mom.
Love, your family.
Donations in her memory can be made to Never Alone Cancer Foundation.
