Obituary of WILLIAM PETER NOWICKI
July 22, 1934 – May 19, 2021
It is with profound sorrow and infinite love that we announce the passing of Bill Nowicki, beloved Husband, Dad, and Gigi, on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.
Bill will be deeply missed by his loving family, including his wife Natalie, his daughters Sandra and Sharon (Wylie), grandchildren Joshua, Aidan, and Tess, his brother Peter and sister Dolores (Les), and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bill was predeceased by his parents Mary and Michael, mother and father-in-law Mary and Fred Demkiw, sister-in-law Patricia and son-in-law Kelvin.
Bill married the love of his life, Natalie, and together they spent the next 57 years creating a beautiful life filled with family and friends. He was a devoted, loving, and compassionate man - the very epitome of the word “father”. Bill adored and was so proud of his daughters and grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to sing their praises. His unwavering support, love, and guidance made him a safe haven for his family.
As much as he was a dedicated husband and father, Bill was also a loyal friend. He shared many wonderful stories of time spent with friends on and off the golf course. Those stories will live on in the hearts of his family forever. We will always picture him in our mind’s eye sharing the news of his hole-in-one at Bel Acres or discussing the latest NFL game on the phone with the friends he so cherished.
Our lives will never be the same without him, yet we are blessed with innumerable, wonderful memories of Bill. No one will ever forget his whimsical sense of humour or his gentle and affectionate way of making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. We will forever remain thankful for the simple things he gave us - the laughter, smiles and the gift of music. Bill loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. His love of dance was shared with Natalie and together they enjoyed time spent with their dance group. This gift of music lives on in his children and grandchildren.
Bill was a man of faith and a member of the Holy Trinity Cathedral for many years.
Bill will be remembered most of all for his unconditional love for us. We didn’t have to question if he loved or cared for us – he made that obvious every single day of his life. We shall always be grateful for the guidance he passed on to us. For all the times he was by our side; to help and support us; to celebrate our successes. He taught us by example the value of hard work, courage, strength, and to live our lives with integrity. Bill worked tirelessly to provide for his family and excelled in his career - being the recipient of numerous local and national awards as a top producer. We shall never forget the sacrifices he made so that we could have the very best.
Bill shared his final day with his wife and daughters at his side. Bill was a tower of strength that his family leaned upon. His life was a blessing, a true gift from God. Our deep love for him is everlasting; his memory is a treasure that holds no measure.
A service was held at the Holy Trinity Cathedral on Saturday, May 22, 2021, with Father Gene officiating. Interment followed at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
May he rest in eternal peace.
FOREVER IN OUR MEMORY,
VICHNAYA PAMYAT
