We were so very sad to hear of Todd’s passing. He will be missed. When I think of Todd I think of music. I think of the accordion
and Todd playing the accordion. Todd helped to bring music to Vic Wyatt House, specifically our Music Group. He will be missed when the group finally meets again! Rest In Peace Todd.
I’m quite sure you have already joined a band and are already playing the accordion there…..

Our condolences to the entire Sawchuk family. I always remember Mr. Sawchuk being thoughtful and supportive. Not many bank managers would give access to a bank branch on a Sunday to allow a group of young boys to film a bank robbery scene as part of a school assignment. He had a smile and laugh to make you feel good about life.

I have many fond memories of spending time at the Sawchuk home hanging out with Kim. Mr.Sawchuk, was always kind and genuinely interested in my family, activities and passions (one being music). He also gave me my first real job working at the Bank of Commerce for which I was very grateful. My love to all of you Sawchuks,
Thinking of you,

We are so sad to hear of the passing of my first cousin Todd. His was the most calming voice of all the Sawchuks - even calmer than my father’s, and that’s saying something - though he certainly let his accordion do the talking. It’s no surprise that my dad loved “Toddy” so much - or that he hung an accordion on my shoulders at the age of five!
I was two months into my accordion career when my parents decided it was time to fly to Canada and meet my father’s side of the family in Manitoba. We had a few hours layover in Toronto so, aptly, the first wave of Sawchuks I met were Todd, Shirley, Kim, Corey & (I think) a very young Darren who were living nearby at the time. My extended family’s warm, lifelong embrace began then and there and has never faltered, regardless of how awful I’ve been at keeping in touch.
The times my wife Li & I spent with Todd, Shirley, their four wonderful children, their families and all the Sawchuks were unforgettable and, above all, so much fun, especially getting to jam with various incarnations & generations of the family band over the years. Todd leaves a legacy of heart, music, passion and commitment to family that will live forever; it’s warmth radiated through today’s beautiful service & continues to be felt all the way down here in New York.
All our love,
Pete & Li Sawchuk

I not only knew Mr.S as Daren’s dad,but the main Windsor Park banker! I remember when I was like 11 years old or so going into the bank to deposit my work cheques and Mr. S was always there giving me a big smile. I remember him as a soccer dad/ hockey dad and just really an amazing father and person. In the recent years I have reconnected not just with Darren whom I miss so so much, but with Mr. and Mrs.S and the whole family! I am so grateful that I got to see Mr.S perform at VR and at his home. I will, just as your family will, miss you dearly and forever will be in our hearts! Love you all and may peace be with you.

My fondest and most vivid memory of Todd was when we worked together at Henderson & Hespler branch. He was my very first Accountant. He was always very kind, soft spoken and considerate. As smoking was allowed in the branch at that time, Todd always had a pipe in his mouth whether it was lit or not. On one occasion, a customer approached the counter. Todd got up from his desk, put the pipe in his suit jacket pocket. A short time later, I noticed smoke coming from his pocket and indiscreetly mentioned to him. Todd proceeded to take the pipe out of his pocket, put it in the ashtray and continue on with the client remaining calm and collected.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Shirley and all of your family at this most difficult time.
With since sympathy.
