Greg, your passing hit many people very hard. You were a class "A" gentleman, with a smile that would light up any room and a laugh that could be heard from miles away. I feel very blessed to have been able to share a few years together and continue that relationship as friends afterwards. Your absence will be greatly missed around here!
My deepest condolences to Mom, Dad, Sharon, Gus, Brenda, Wally, Sean, Jonathan, Ron and extended family. My heart goes out to all of you during this very difficult time.
Greg, may you find peace and rest easy. You will never be forgotten babe.
Love always
Patti

My dear Greg,
The pain that I feel right now is gut wrenching. You were my best friend. I miss you so much and am beyond saddened by your sudden passing.
I will never forget the first time I saw you and thought.....damn who is that hot forklift driver! From that moment on we began a new chapter in our lives that I will cherish forever. Everyone at Costco #549 is grieving the loss of you Greg. The community of #549 has come together and shown an outpouring of support. This makes the days more bearable.
Greg, you reignited my soul and taught me how to love again. I am so grateful we both played an instrumental part in each others life during a life changing pandemic.
You taught me how to love the outdoors and shared your passion for biking. I tried to keep up with you but you said I was too slow. I promise I will work on that. I will miss drinking Wally's wine with you on your balcony enjoying your company talking about our day. You taught me how to play crib, dice and we shared our love of music together. I loved hearing all your stories growing up and how similar our up bringing was growing up in the 80's. I am grief stricken for Wally because he was your best friend. You shared a bond like a brother.
I find solace in the notion that your final days here on earth were doing the things you loved.
My deepest sympathy to all of Greg's family.
May you rest easy in grace and love.
I love you Greg. xoxo
Kelly

Sam(Greg)we shared so many many conversations over the years.... we shared our fears, our dreams and so much more! I just can not believe that you are gone! My heart breaks to know that I will never see that smile, hear that laugh or see that look of deep thought that you so often had. Our friendship over the years made many turns some good some not so good but somehow we always managed to find our way back to that special place in our friendship! I will miss that so much! Our conversations about nothing and everything I am just so so very glad we had time to repair what we broke. Our last not realizing it was our last conversation was full of nothing, everything & so much laughter just chatting about life’s happenings! I am beyond grateful to have that memory.. I will be sure to cheers you when I return to Dawson City to celebrate the midnight sun. I loved you a long time Sam... Till we meet again❤️❤️ To the Heppner family my deepest condolences my heart hurts for all of you. Greg was an amazing soul I am so sorry for your loss ❤️

Greg had an amazing laugh. It will truly be missed. He was full of adventure and loved his family dearly. Whenever we spoke it was for hours at a time and always great family conversations. Greg’s humour was the best. ❤️ His love of outdoors always brought great stories.
He has been a consistent in my life since junior high, no one was quite like him. Jim and Martha, Ron, Wally and Brenda and boys you were spoken of often and always with love. I am deeply sorry for your loss
