TILLIE (TINA) BEATTY (formerly COPELAND nee CHIUPKA, 88, of DAUPHIN,MANITOBA, passed away on APRIL 5th, 2021 at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg with her family by her side.

Interment will be held at Dauphin Riverside Cemetery on August 7th, 2021 at 11:00.  A celebration of life will be held at Manipogo Provincial Park from 2:30 to 4:30 PM.

Tillie was born on the farm in Million (near Rorketon) to Helen and Jacob Chiupka on March 15, 1933. She spent her years growing up with her large family of brothers and sisters then, after a brief work term in Winnipeg moved to Dauphin where she met and married Charles Copeland. They raised their family on a hobby farm outside of Dauphin until Charlie passed in 1984.  Tillie worked at various businesses in Dauphin once the children were old enough including Dauphin Locker Plant and Sticky’s.  Many people complimented her on the meals she cooked at Sticky’s which was her last job before retirement.  She enjoyed the chance to “coffee” with all her neighbors and friends there.

Tillie enjoyed a number of years of curling until her health prevented the activity.  Her favorite activity throughout the years was her Bingo outings.  Some weeks would see her attend up to 5 bingos depending on the “pot” of that night.  At one of these outings, she met her second love, Donald Beatty.  They married in 1994 and enjoyed many years together.

Tillie is survived by her children Marion Janzen (Henry) of Fraserwood, Cindy Sylvester (Brett) of Lockport, Sharon Trevena (Jerry) of West St Paul and Frederick Copeland (Kyla) of Cowan.  She is also survived by her sisters Marge, Eva, Alice and Pearl as well as one brother Andrew.  Tillie has left behind a legacy of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was pre-deceased by her husbands; Donald Beatty and Charles Copeland as well as her parents and many brothers and sisters.

Memorial donations may be made to Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg (280 Balderstone Rd, West Saint Paul, MB R4A 4A6) or Dauphin Personal Care Home (625 3 St SW, Dauphin, MB R7N 1R7).  The family wishes to extend their gratitude to both of these Personal Care homes who took such great care of Tillie during her final years and especially to Middlechurch Home for keeping her safe through the pandemic.
