Obituary of PATRICE (PATRICK) FELIX JOSEPH HOGUE

Patrice (Patrick)Felix Joseph Hogue passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 26, 2021 at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 60 years.

He was predeceased by his father Noel and his brother Vincent. Patrick is lovingly remembered by his wife Laura of 35 years, children Desirae (Von), Daniel (Rudi), Justin (Rebbecca), grandchildren Lillian and Jackson. He also leaves behind his brothers Giles, Sylvio (Juliana) and sisters Mona (Chris Hardie), Bernadette (Henry Burzynski) and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Patrick was born and raised in Ile Des Chenes. He spent his young to middle years at Ecole Ile Des Chenes and his high school years at Steinbach Regional Secondary School. His work years started with his brother working out West on the oil rigs and then came home and worked with his father at Winnipeg Building and Decorating. He then went to Davian Construction and soon after started his own company Oak Island Carpentry and Decorating Inc and ran it for 29 years doing commercial and residential renovations. He had a knack for making anything beautiful.

Much of Pat’s time was spent with his cherished grandchildren who were his world; relaxing at his cabin in Hillside Beach that he was so proud of.  Many days spent boating around Lake Winnipeg and travelling to Mexico with his wife and friends. Pat commanded the room and always had a big smile for everyone in his presence and wouldn’t think twice to help someone.

The family especially thanks the caregivers and Doctors on 5E at SBH for the incredible compassionate care Pat received as well as all our friends and family for all their love and support.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 6 at 11:00 a.m.at the Notre Dame de la Misericorde in Ile Des Chenes inside by invitation only. For others who wish to attend the service will be broadcast outside the church, there will be no seating provided outside.  The interment will be held in the Ile Des Chenes Cemetery directly following.
