I worked with Steve at SMS Engineering. He was always in a good mood and loved to joke around.
I will miss you Steve. My condolences to Anita and family. I'm thinking of all of you. I know Steve will be the life of the party in heaven. If there is anything I can do Anita, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I met Steve because of cancer. My mom and Steve were undergoing chemotherapy on the same schedule in early 2020. Anita, Steve, my mom, and I became instant friends. Seeing one another at Cancer Care was a highlight in a difficult time. We became a team and chatted every morning and every night and sometimes a few times in between. We shared struggles and joys, jokes and music. Steve often shared a morning song, which we all looked forward to. He was a strong man and although I met him at a time when his body was failing him, I never saw him as anything less than grand. He was grand in every way. Grand in how much he loved Anita. Grand in how much he loved his family (we saw many photos!). Grand in how passionate he was about his art. Grand in his love of life. We will miss Steve. But his impression was grand, and he lives on in our hearts. My deepest sympathies to Anita and to all those who knew and loved Steve.
