Obituary of MARIA ANTONIA QUINTANA

Maria Antonia Quintana passed away at Riverview Health Centre on Monday September 6th 2021 at the age of 75. Born in Valparaiso, Chile on May 19th 1946 to Pedro and Maria Caceres-Marchant. 

Maria is predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Jaime Quintana. She is survived by her son (Miguel); grandchildren, Jason and Tanya (Thomas); siblings (Raquel, Susana, Alvaro, Pedro, Daisy); and her nieces and nephews. 

Maria came to Canada in 1981 and made a home in Winnipeg, Manitoba. For over 30 years, she worked at the Royal Canadian Legion (300 Trent Ave) where she enjoyed being with members and fellow workers. Maria enjoyed meeting and talking to others when commuting on the bus to and from work. 

A memorial service will be held at the Cropo Funeral Home (1442 Main Street) at 11am on September 11 2021. In lieu of flowers - the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Society and Cancer Care Manitoba.
