My grandma was a fierce and beautiful woman. She stood for what she believed in. She helped and cared for many people. She was famous for protecting children, for her home cooked meals and her baking. She was selfless, she did so many things for people, for children and for family. Her smile could light up a room, her laugh was contagious and her sturn-ness grown men feared. She loved to teach; cooking, life skills and crafting. She was accepting of people. Had a strong understanding. She was supportive, resourceful and determined. The ripples my grandma has left behind will last for generations to come. No words can describe how much she will be missed. -Holly.

Condolences to Brian and Family. Ruth and Brian took me in as a foster child when I was a teenager. I was a bit of a handful at times, but was never treated differently because of it. Ruth was kind, she had a great sense of humour and she thought she was pretty funny sometimes! She was an amazing cook, who enjoyed having dinner around the table every evening. Ruth was very straight forward with what she had to say and offered guidance as much as possible. I enjoyed hearing Ruth’s stories about prized rabbits and other things. Ruth was a good person to talk to, and she was a good woman who did a lot for everyone.
