Obituary of STEVEN LOUDEN DAUN
Steven Louden Daun
Dec 20, 1945 – Oct 18, 2019
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Steve – a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was predeceased by his wife Roberta (Bobbi) Daun, and his parents Elizabeth (Betty) and Calder (Kelly) Daun. Steve is survived by his children Timothy (Coralie) and Reesa (Derick), grandchildren Ayden (11), Henry (9), Freya (7), and Owen (5), and brother Calder Daun (Maureen).
Steve was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB and treasured time spent with his family at the cabin in Hawk Lake, Ontario. While he worked in the family business and enjoyed many professions over the years, Steve returned to study at the U of W and became a teacher, mainly teaching at Kelvin High School. He was an avid curler and served as president of the Thistle Curling Club. This is where much of his time was spent with family and friends, and where he met his wife.
Steve will be remembered for his strength of character, his positive outlook on life, and as an exceptionally caring man that embraced family, friends and all those around him with love, dignity and compassion.
Cremation has taken place as well as an intimate gathering for a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or Cat Tails Rescue Inc.
