JADWIGA H. KACZMARCZYK
May 3, 1938 - October 17, 2021
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Jadwiga Kaczmarczyk with family by her side on October 17th, 2021 at Grace hospital at the age of 83 years.
Jadwiga was born May 3, 1938 in Wilno, Poland. She was predeceased by her parents Stanisława and Julian Pilozow, her first husband Henryk Gescinski (Poland), auntie Jadwiga Zywin (Wilno), her brother Henry Pilozow (Winnipeg), her recent husband Jozef Kaczmarczyk (Winnipeg), and also predeceased by many other family members.
Jadwiga H. Kaczmarczyk is survived by her daughters, Halina (Ricky) Pirrie, Maria (Czesław) Kojs of Arizona, and son Andrzej Gescinski. Grandchildren, Lindsy (Corey), Jeffrey (Ashley), Paweł and Mateusz (USA), great grandchild Korra, in-law Czesława Pilozow, nephew Jerry with family,
several nieces, nephews, and extended family in Poland as well as throughout Europe.
She survived World War II and over the years a few Marshall Laws in Poland.
She was a very hard working person, devoted mother, daughter, grandmother, and great grandmother. Throughout her life she experienced mystic meetings with Holy Mary, Jesus, and all the Saints. She predicted her departure to home from God. She was a godmother for bells in the Sanctuary of Lichen in Poland. She was a member of many Catholic organizations and she received many rewards for prayers of devotion.
She was a journeyman hairdresser and also worked for the government in Poland assisting with weddings. In Canada, she continued her profession, in addition to being the best seamstress. She had a very unique talent, singing and writing poems. She was a lover animals, especially cats.
A private mass of Christian burial will be on Wednesday November 3, 2021 at 10:00 am with Rosary at 9:30 am at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church 341 Selkirk Avenue, celebrated by Fr. Tomasz Koscinski, OMI and burial will take place at Holy Ghost Cemetery following the mass, 4387 Main Street. A livestream will be available to those who are unable to attend due to covid restrictions at www.holyghost.ca. The family would like to thank their co-workers, relatives, friends, neighbors, and Starlite Colony for their support in this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jadwiga's memory to Holy Ghost Church, Winnipeg, MB.
