Obituary of NICK KUTZAK
NICK KUTZAK
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nick Kutzak on October 28, 2021 at Holy Family Home in Winnipeg. Nick will be lovingly remembered by his children: Russel (Donna), Debbie (Wayne) Sobering, Susan (Richard) Patrick and Ken (Laurie); grandchildren: Justin (Jen), Pamela (Brad), Kyle, Leigh-ann (Jamie), Kelli (Brendyn), Travis (Amber) and Bradley (Andrea); great-grandchildren: Kipton, Rhett, Jase, Ayla, Emmett, Rory, Vance and Beau; sisters: Katie(Myron) and Lillian; sister-in-laws: Carole, Marilyn and Jeanette (Gibson). He was predeceased by his wife Joyce, granddaughter Kerri-Ann, his parents Theodore and Sophia Kutzak, brothers George and Bill, and sisters Jean, Mary and Dorothy.
Dad was born on December 10, 1928. He married Joyce Eliuk in 1955 and they began their life together on the farm in Sirko. They spent the early years working in the bush and then on the farm where they raised their family, established JN Hereford Farms and were well known for their purebred Hereford cattle. Dad also had a great love for Ukrainian music and his accordion. He played in many bands at weddings, parties and especially loved playing to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who he loved so dearly. Dad was an active member of the St. Elias Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church in Sirko.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Dad’s home care aids and hospital staff in Beausejour and the staff at Holy Family Home for their compassion and excellent care.
Due to COVID restrictions a private family service will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Very Reverend Miron Pozniak officiating. The service will be live-streamed at Cropo.com. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nick’s memory to St. Elias Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church (Box 13 Sundown, MB R0A 2C0).
Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Vichnaya Pamyat.
