Obituary of KATHLEEN LOU CILUFFO

Kathleen Lou Maynes (Ciluffo)

May 26, 1959 – December 15, 2021

Kathleen passed away suddenly on December 15, 2021 at home with her dog Nachoe by her side, at the young age of 62.

She was predeceased by her son Henry D’Amours and parents Samuel and Irma Maynes.

Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her children and grandchildren, Tina D’Amours, son Issac of Bathhurst, NB; Cora-Les (Eric) Krekoski, son Zen, of Edmonton, AB; James (Hayley) Maynes of Winnipeg, MB; Jenna-May (Darcy) Maynes, daughters Delilah and Violet, son Jace of Winnipeg, MB; Gina-Marie Ciluffo of Winnipeg, MB; and Arielle Balcaen of Lorette, MB.

The family would like to especially thank Anne and Larry Krywenko, Lisa and Francois Balcaen, Donna Koss and families for their love and support over the years.

Kathy was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a child she loved horseback riding and piano, which she practiced through the Royal Conservatory of Music. She also loved to sing throughout her whole life. As a teen she attended Glenlawn Collegiate, where her mom and dad worked.

Kathy was a loving mom and grandmama. She had a heart of gold and a smile that would light up the room. Her laugh was contagious. She enjoyed sewing figure skating costumes, and star blankets. Kathy loved dogs, especially her Brinx (Dude) who was with her over 15 years. She enjoyed interior decorating when she moved into a new home. She would never go a day without her Diet Pepsi. One of her favorite ways to show her love was the “I LOVE YOU” hand.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 28, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, with Fr. Gerry Ward officiating. Interment to follow at Green Acres Cemetery, Hwy. #1 East at, Navin Road.
