Obituary of LEO ELMER BURTON
LEO ELMER BURTON
On January 7, 2013 at the Victoria Hospital, Winnipeg, Leo, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away at the age of 91 years.
Besides his wife, Jessie he is survived by his daughters, Sharon Tinnish(Gary), Birds Point, Sask., Carla Leonard(Randy), The Pas, MB., sons Les Burton, Wpg, Rod Burton, Fort MacLeod, AB, Greg Burton(Nancy), Barrie, Ont. Leo is also survived by his sisters Laura Steele (Freddie) and Dorothy Tomlin (Fred), as well as 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Leo was predeceased by his daughter, Cecile, also his sisters Mary Verhelst and Rose Schonberger.
The family would like to thank the medical team, nurses and the support staff at the Golden Door Geriatrics Centre for their excellent care and compassion to Leo during his time there. A thank you also to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Victoria Hospital for your excellent care to Leo as well.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11: 00 a.m. at St. Vital Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Highway with Fr. Barry Schoonbaert officiating.
Interment to take place at a later date.
