Obituary of MICHAEL BRUCE WAVER
Michael WAVER
October 29,1949-January 12, 2022
Sadly, Michael passed away at the St Boniface hospital January 12th., 2022, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
He was predeceased by his father Bruce, mother Marie, and sister Pamela.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Gail, sons Ray, Rod, granddaughters, Dana, Morgan and Aly. Brothers Dave (Heather), Tom (Sharon) sisters Barbara, Elizabeth (Dennis). Marilyn (Charlie), Susanna (Gary) April, several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Michael was born in Winnipeg the third oldest of nine children. He retired from the C.P.R. early due to his first cancer prognosis. We were fortunate to have had him for several more years in which he enjoyed golfing with his friends at the Transcona Golf Course. He had many good friends that have known him as a man who lived his life on his own terms.
We would like to thank Doctor Barry MacMillan who was exceptional with Mikes care over the past 30 years. Mike felt Barry was his friend, trusted him to his last days. Also, the doctors and nurses at the St Boniface hospital who are so amazing. They did everything they could do to keep Mike comfortable under the current Covid conditions. God bless them.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life for family and friends will be held on Saturday March 12, 2022 at 1:00pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street, Winnipeg.
In Lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to CancerCare MB.
