I was privileged to serve Theresa at Donwood Manor as her Chaplain. She was a kind, encouraging, prayerful, delightful person and I will miss her greatly! I still remember the many, many Christmas cards she was getting ready to send out and admired her fortitude at sending so many to the many she loved. My condolences to her family and friends! Aunt Terry and Uncle Sinky were a huge part of my life when we were growing up in Winnipeg, and I will never forget their kindness and generosity. After my Uncle's death, Aunt Terry came to Ottawa to see our first child, and gave us the most beautiful hand knit outfit. I still cherish it. She never forgot a birthday or an anniversary, and with her many friends and family, that is no small feat. I really enjoyed my conversations with her. She never complained about her lot in life, despite failing health and more recently the loss of her mobility and eyesight. She was always positive and working toward walking again.
Her courage and her strength and her devotion to what she believed in are a lesson to us all. She was one great lady, and I will not forget her.
Her niece, Loreen
