Bruce and family, " We never lose the people we love
They become immortal through us. They continue to live in our hearts and minds. They participate in our
every act, idea and decision. No one will ever replace them, and in spite of the pain we are richer for all
the years invested in them. Because of them, we have so much more to bring to our present relationships,
and all those to come."
So sorry for your loss.

Dear Tannis and Bruce, my most heartfelt sympathies on the loss of your dad. What a difficult time- dementia is cruel, so cruel. Ron was a great friend to my father. He brought out the very best in "Gordie" starting from the time they worked as coach and manager of hockey teams to the countless visits and parties. I also always enjoyed Mr. Probetts' visits- so genuinely cheerful and kind even when teasing us. He was generous with his stories and experiences. He offered me his collection of Japanese artifacts for a grade 4 project, gave me one of his Sousa Marching records when I was preparing for a baton competition (back in the early 70s) and supplied me with many travel brochures for various projects. He was also incredibly thoughtful toward my family including getting the Jets to sign autographs for a young fan who had lost his father. Growing up, he was a dear family friend.

I knew Mr. Probetts from my days as a student at Robertson college, he was always full of amazing and adventurous stories. I am deeply saddened by his passing. He had such a love for the travel industry, he will be missed. May he rest in eternal peace!
