SAMUEL ISAAC RAMAN-NAIR
April 3, 1946 – February 11, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Father, brother, uncle, and friend Samuel Isaac Raman-Nair from a heroic battle with cancer. We would like to thank the staff at HSC GH4, WRS3, and at Misericordia Health Centre level 2.
Sam came to Canada in 1972 from Trinidad and Tobago when he was 26 years old. He worked in several jobs such as being a representative for the food and drink company Neslé, he also worked at a box manufacturer until he began his career with Winnipeg Transit. Sam enjoyed church and always felt that it was important to be involved with the church community including taking on many volunteering activities. In his later years with St. John's Presbyterian Church he helped co-create the Little Miracles Music Program. He also enjoyed volunteering with the Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity and other organizations. He is survived by his daughter Lisa, son Ryan, grandson Pavlo, sister Mona and many nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John’s Presbyterian Food Bank or Cancer Care Manitoba.
Services will be held at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 251 Bannerman Avenue on Friday, February 25 at 1:00 p.m.
