Obituary of JOHN GREGORY KUBI
John Gregory Kubi
1933 – 2022
With profound sadness, we are heartbroken to announce that John Gregory Kubi passed away February 20th, after a short courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by loving wife Rose and son Dustin,
He will also be missed by niece Julie, nephew Jimmy and their families.
He is predeceased by his mother Irene, father Harry, stepmother Anne, sister Olga, brother-in-law Mike and nephew-in-law Ron.
John was employed by the City of Winnipeg for 35 years, retiring in 1990.After retirement he volunteered time and effort to two local community groups for many years.
He appreciated his neighbourhood and neighbours.
He attended the University of Manitoba and Technical Colleges as a senior student, graduating in 1972.
He spent his youthful formative years in Oak Bluff Manitoba, moving to Winnipeg in 1955.
Many years spent at the family cottage was a source of wonderful, joyful times of fishing, hiking, picking in-season berries and community fun.
John will be missed forever by his loving family who he cared for more than anything in this world.
At Johns request there will be no service.
