Obituary of STANLEY KOMINOWSKI
STANLEY EDWARD KOMINOWSKI
With sadness, we announce the passing of Stanley Kominowski age 83, on Saturday April 9, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Personal Care Residence.
Stanley was predeceased by his parents Benjamin and Jennie, his brothers Joseph (Rose), John (Helen), Walter and Edward, as well as his sisters Bernice and Mary and sister-in-law Helen. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his brother Victor, his nephew James, and his nieces Jean, Nancy, Jenny, Tracey and Patricia. His lifelong friends Richard & Eileen were always there for him. He will be also be missed by Roger & Judy, Johnny and Don.
Stanley was a boat maker by trade, working at Kildonan Canoe Co. and Carlson Structural Glass until his retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors - fishing, hunting and spending time at the cottage at Laurentia Beach. He also loved to play bingo and visit the casino. We will remember and cherish his soft heart for animals. His faithful companion Caesar meant the world to him. He was an easy-going kind of guy who, in his younger years was thought to look like Elvis. We remember how he loved his snacks, Blue Boy chocolate ice cream, BBQ peanuts and Pepsi.
Special thanks to the staff who cared for Stanley at the Irene Baron Eden Centre (Marigold Lane) and more recently, St. Joseph's Personal Care Residence.
There will be no service. Interment will take place at a later date. If one chooses to make a donation on Stanley’s behalf, please consider The Winnipeg Humane Society or an animal shelter of your choice.
