Obituary of TILMAN LUDWIG GOETTING
February 11, 1951 - April 19, 2022
Peacefully on April 19th, 2022, Tilman Goetting passed away in his sleep surrounded by loved ones. Tilman had a zest for life and fought his diagnosis of cancer bravely, remaining strong and positive throughout his year and a half battle. Tilman enjoyed hosting barbeques for family and friends, travelling to Banff National Park with his family, going to the gym, and having long conversations at Tim’s with many of his friends.
He leaves behind many to mourn his loss: his wife Jan; children Jason (Kirsty), Samara, Jordan (Heather), Katie (Austin), Alexis, Faith, and Julia; his brothers Ekkehard, Tobias, Friedemann, and Yogi; sister in laws Lindsay (Jamie), Mel (Heidi), Teri-Lynn (Cody); brother-in-law Michael (Sam); nephews Parker, Finn, and Beckett, and niece Blair; his best friends Lionel and Heather Houston and goddaughter Ambie, Barry Gibson; friends Robert, Julie (Jamie), Anna, Alana, Paul, Matty, George, Tara and goddaughter Sky, and too many more to name.
A service will be held Saturday, April 30th, 2022, 10 am at 81 Henderson Highway; the church Tilman attended for many years, and where he served as a member of the worship team, joining the band with his beloved guitar.
