Deepest condolences to Julie’s family. She was my landlady many years ago before I was married. Julie and Steve lived on the second floor and rented the third floor suite to me on 454 Burrows Avenue. At the time, it was a safe, good area to live in. Julie wanted a young girl living there in hopes I would spend a bit of time with her. She was very good to me, invited to share her beautifully cooked suppers with her and Steve. We also would go shopping down Selkirk Avenue at a time when there were a couple of high end dress shops in the business section of Selkirk between Salter and Macgregor streets. Julie valued my opinion on clothes she wanted to buy. Unfortunately, I have not seen her since I married and moved away. But, at the time I lived there, I loved her and I have thought of her many times . She taught me how to make Holupchi. Rest In Peace, Julie, you goodness has certainly been rewarded by our God in Heaven.
