Elaine was born on September 1, 1948, in Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba. She was raised by her parents in Crane River and was the third oldest of twelve children.
Elaine was a devoted mother and proud grandma. She was the family’s matriarch. Elaine was always excited and willing to host birthday dinners for her children and grandchildren and took pride in organizing holiday celebrations. Her enthusiasm for family gatherings and incredible cooking will be missed.
One of Elaine’s greatest passions was square dancing. She was a member of the Norman Chief Memorial Dancers and loved to dance with her husband Fred. She took great pride in seeing her grandchildren jig. Elaine also loved to sing with her sisters and enjoyed listening to gospel and country music.
Elaine was honoured during her lifetime for her selfless service to her community. She was a mentor and great friend to many. We will miss her loving nature, straightforwardness, wise advice, and infectious laughter.
