Obituary of LESLIE KRAHN

LESLIE ALBERT KRAHN Leslie Albert Krahn unexpectedly, yet peacefully passed away on January 21, 2013. Les passed away in Winnipeg at the age of 57 years. Les was predeceased by his father, Ben and mother, Marie. Les leaves to mourn, his brother, Bob (Yvonne), nephew David, niece Kelsey as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Les was born November 4, 1955 in Winnipeg and it is rumored that he became interested in automobiles shortly after learning to walk. Most if not all of Les’ large group of friends was based around their love of cars and the hot rod scene in Winnipeg. Les successfully ran his body shop, Lester Automotive for many years and in addition to conventional repair work, has painted many local custom vehicles. It was always the custom work, which interested him. The shop has been the meeting place for many of his friends over the years. Les lived for a visit from someone wanting to talk "cars". These visits were always entertaining and will be missed by all. A celebration of Les’ life will be held on Tuesday January 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice could be made in his memory.
