LLOYD WALLACE HANNESSON
1935 - 2011
Peacefully on November 30, 2011, at Seven Oaks Hospital, Lloyd passed on with his loving family by his side.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Diane; son Lloyd (Cara) Hannesson; daughter Karen Kruk (Jack); sons Wane (Judy), Keith and Paul; step sons Tom (Wendy) Stumpf, Wayne (Marta) Stumpf; step daughters Donna Kruger, Lori (Terry) Trump; six grandchildren, seven step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren; his mother Kristrun Bolton; sister Sharon Cuthbert (Gord); sister-in-law Lil Hohenstein and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Kristin; brother Gaylord; sister Lillian Ferguson and his children’s mother Dolly.
Lloyd was born in Gimli, Manitoba. He joined the Airforce at 17 and retired with 23 years service. He then worked in the trailer sales and service industry and Sears at Kildonan and Garden City.
Thank you to Dr. Mark Kristjanson and the staff in ICU, 5th floor and unit 3 at Seven Oaks Hospital for their compassionate care.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lloyd’s memory to the Manitoba Lung Association would be appreciated.
