Bonnie and I went through school together and I still have all the class photos on the front steps of Steele. We alway enjoyed getting together and the last time was about 10 years ago. I live in Denver but we stayed in contact and Bonnie will be greatly missed Sincerely Dorothy Godwin Dahlin

Dear James, Peter, Joyce and family, I am so very sorry to hear of Bonnie's passing. Bonnie and I reconnected a number of years ago when I started spending time at the lake, Clearwater Bay. Every summer we would get together in Winnipeg for a visit and over the years it became a delightful annual tradition. On some of those visits we would gather with other cousins for a lunch on Academy Rd. Bonnie always gifted me with an annual jar of her homemade mint jelly; a favourite of mine. And her summer garden was quite beautiful and a task of love. I also have a painting she did of an English country garden. It is a favourite of mine, and will always remind me of our visits and connection. Lovely memories indeed. Sending you all much love and wishes. So very sad about your loss. Toni

The first person I ever cared for when I started nursing was Bonnie’s dad. Bonnie would come and visit. Her dad was a sweetheart. I planning my wedding. Bonnie gave me a beautiful card from both her and her dad thanking me for my care of him. She wrote me a beautiful message congratulating me and my future husband. I was so touched. I still have it! I have thought of them both over the years. That was 1994. I am still happily married to the same man. It’s amazing how a small kind gesture can have such a major impact! I will never forget it. When I saw her name today I knew instantly it was her. So glad she had a beautiful long life! I am very sorry for your loss. Now she is with her parents. Please take care of your hearts. Know I care. To Pete, Joyce, Jim and families (I am hoping this message gets to at least one of you and you could pass along to the others),
I was so very saddened to read of Bonnie's passing. We did not see each other often but whenever we did touch base I enjoyed Bonnie's company immensely - her sense of humour, her enthusiasm for life, her genuine interest in others and her tenderness for Sadie and Mollie always made for lively conversation. And her deep love for her family was ever-apparent. I am so very sorry for your loss.
