Obituary of M. IRENE TYMCHUK
IRENE TYMCHUK
July 3, 1939 – July 1, 2022
Irene passed away at Riverview Health Centre on July 1, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Left to cherish her memory is her devoted sister, and lifelong friend and companion Helen as well as her nephew Tim, nieces Patsy (Barry), Lisa (Dan) and great nephew’s Landon and Dawson. Irene will also be missed by her numerous cousins’ and friends. Irene was predeceased by her father Harry in 1987, mother Irene in 2002 and brother Eddie in 2006.
Irene was born and raised in Elmwood. She was employed by Swan River the Pas Transfer until her retirement. Irene had wonderful memories of the many trips she shared with her sister and cousins and remised of them often. In her later years she and Helen spent countless hours in their yard gardening and tending to their many plants and flowers and especially Irene’s endeared roses. Irene had a great love for cats and gave several of her feline friends a loving home over the years. Her most recent love “Charlie” gave her great enjoyment. Although her family had become smaller in recent years, you could always count on Irene to attend any and all family gatherings. These brought great joy to her, as did chatting with neighbors, friends and family that stopped by for a visit.
Irene’s last wishes were to have a “graveside service with pretty flowers”. Cremation has taken place and a graveside ceremony will be held on Friday July 15th at 2:30pm at Elmwood Cemetery. All are welcome to attend.
