Obituary of AGATHE KLASSEN
AGATHE KLASSEN
November 1, 1928 – January 24, 2013
Agathe Klassen, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Victoria General Hospital.
In her younger years she worked at Paulin Chambers as a timekeeper, where she met her future husband Rudy. Later on they would travel all over Manitoba and Saskatchewan where work would take them, leaving behind many friends they would encounter. Her family was important to her, especially her granddaughter Brea.
Later on in retirement she and Rudy spent their winters camping in Arizona, coming back and camping at Birdshill Park for the summers. This was their great passion for many years.
Agathe was predeceased by her parents and nine brothers and sisters.
Left to mourn her loss is husband Rudy Ras, son Hal, granddaughter Brea, sister Kay Banmann, many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Victoria General Hospital ICU Unit for the love and dedication.
As per Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Chaplain John Friesen officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Agathe’s memory may be made to Siloam Mission, 300 Princess St., Wpg., MB R3B 1M3
