Obituary of LINDA GAIL BAILER

September 1, 1950 – August 23, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Linda on August 23, 2022 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 71 years with her closest family members by her side.

Linda was predeceased by her mother Jean, her father Martin and her brother Gordon.

She is survived by her loving husband, Edward, son, Mark (Amy), grandchildren, Brody & Braelynn.  Linda also leaves behind her brother, Michael Pawlowski (Ellie), niece, Faye Calfee (Heath) and nephews, Mike and James Pawlowski.  There are countless extended family members and friends that were very close to Linda as well.

Linda was born and raised in Geraldton, Ontario.  She moved to Winnipeg in 1977, where shortly after, she met and married her husband, Edward.  Linda worked in the bank for many years, before starting her family in 1985.  When Mark came along, Linda made the decision to take care of her family and run a daycare in her home for 18 years.  When she wasn’t busy with that, Linda spent hours and hours cooking, baking, crocheting, and let’s not forget visiting.  Whether it was talking to friends and family over the phone or making special trips to visit, she was always amazing at keeping in contact with everyone…at all times.  Some may even say a reporter of sorts.

Linda was an amazing cook and would work tirelessly to make sure her family and friends were always very well fed.  We believe that even now, Linda has joined her cousins and is busy preparing a feast for the next arrival in heaven with the rest of the family.

We wish to extend a special thank you to the St. Boniface Hospital staff for their care and compassion during this time.

Immediate cremation has taken place and an informal gathering at Edward and Linda’s home will be arranged at a later date.
