Maria Evelina was born on December 20, 1949, in Sao Miguel, Acores, she immigrated to Canada in 1969 to follow the love of her life and later starting their family together. Mom was the most devoted wife, mother & grandmother. Everything she did was for her family. She was an amazing grandma and had a special bond with each of her grandchildren, the love she had for them is never ending.
For the last four years moms' home had been at Deer lodge Centre, there are not enough words to express our thanks to the amazing nursing staff and health care aides who tended to her every day. A special thank you to Martin, Catherine, Yolanda, Julia, Brianne, Tanis, Maureen, Martina and all the others as there are too many to name; for the love, kindness, compassion and care you showed to our mom especially in the last few days of her life and at the time of her last breath. We will be forever grateful to every one of you.
Thank you to the doctors who provided care and always tried to do all they could for mom, Dr. Alison Stasiuk, Dr. Bhullar, and Dr. Mario. Also thank you to Sandra, Andrea, and Lori of Lodge 5.
Mom though are hearts are broken and a void left for always, we know that you are now at peace and free from pain in the arms of our Creator and back together with dad. We will love you forever and miss you always, until we meet again.
