Phyllis was born in Winnipeg and grew up in the North end of the city. During her 30+ years as a classroom teacher and resource teacher in several elementary schools, Phyllis continued to learn herself. She received her Master of Education.
Phyllis enjoyed a good laugh and always had a joke or two to share. She loved to travel and over the years saw many interesting places around the world. She was a frequent visitor at the YMHA and the Rady Centre, loved going to concerts, theatre, opera, the ballet and meeting with friends. Phyllis had a generous, loving, kind nature. She loved to learn and she loved teaching children. She lived a long, fruitful life and influenced many lives.
A special thank you to the kind staff at Simkin Centre who took such good care of Phyllis during her last few years.
