Obituary of NORMA BABISKY
Norma leaves to mourn her best friend and husband Miles, daughter Sharlean (Jayson), grandsons Riley and Jarod. She also leaves behind her mother Helen Denomme and her siblings Kris, John (Cathie), Janis (Joe), Mike (Melanie), Kathleen (Dennis), Laura (Steve), Angie (Dale), Alissa (Dave), Marie (Keith), Marilyn, Mitch, Edwin, Wayne (Sue), and many nieces and nephews.
Norma was born in Victoria, BC but moved to Transcona at a young age where she met her long-time friend May Trager of 52 years. A short time later, Norma met her husband of 46 years and during that time they had multiple moves but ended up back in the Transcona area. Her cravings for Dal’s pizza brought her home. Norma worked for the Federal Government for 30 years where she developed some long-lasting relationships. She retired at the age of 58 years.
Norma had a zest for life. She loved socializing and could often be found with a drink in her hand. You could recognize her laugh from far away. Her love of dogs and walking would often take her to Kildonan Park.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of St. Boniface Hospital on the 5th and 8th floor for their kindness and compassionate care.
A Celebration of Life will take place Monday, October 3rd, 2022 at the Cropo Chapel Transcona, 1800 Day Street with inurnment to follow at Transcona Cemetery, 5014 Dugald Rd.
