Obituary of MICHELLE IRENE MCCANN

Michelle Irene McCann passed away on October 1^st at Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 53 years.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Irene and Harvey Tibbatts, Karl and Alvina Zimmer; father-in-law Bernard McCann; brother-in-law Alan McCann.

Michelle is survived by her husband, Gerard, children Anthony (Jennifer) and Cameron; parents Diane and Mervyn Zimmer; grandchildren Danii and Akira; mother-in-law Phyllis McCann.

She also leaves her brother Eann (Winnipeg, MB); sisters Denise (Guelph, Ont), Arlene (Winnipeg, MB) and many nieces and nephews.

Michelle was born in Russell, Manitoba, moved to Winnipeg at 7 months old. She graduated from St. John’s High School in 1987. Michelle worked at Nygard for over 30 years until Nygard closed their doors for the last time. She loved spending time with her family. She did a lot of volunteering at the Legion. She loved to crochet blankets and cross stitch. She loved spending time outdoors by the pool in the sun and gathering with friends. Michelle’s greatest gift was spending time with her grandchildren. Michelle’s pride and joys were her husband and sons.

The family especially thanks the staff at Health Sciences Centre, West Kildonan Legion and friends of the family for their support.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 7 at 1:00 p.m. at West Kildonan Legion, 1748 Main Street.
