It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bonnie Belinda Girouard on Friday, February 1, 2013 in Winnipeg, MB. She will be greatly missed by her family – her brothers, Lenny (Rose), Larry, Roland and her sisters, Janet (Joey), and Norene (Henry). She will be missed by her nieces and nephews, Tori, Renee, Janine, Louie, Alex, Faron, Kyle, Ashley, Amber – presently missing, Mike, Jesse, Cheyenne, Destiny, Julian, Billy, Michelle, Jennifer Jeremy and Hayden. She has 22 great nieces and nephews who will miss her. Her numerous extended Girouard/Little Family will miss her presence. Her close & special friends, Vi, Faye Mondor and Brenda Savage will miss her company along with her many friends. Bonnie was predeceased by her husband, Paul (Jake) Willsie who died on November 11, 2006 in Winnipeg, MB. She missed him every day. He was her soul mate. She was predeceased by her parents, Leon and Wylma Girouard along with her sister, Linda Girouard, nephew, Myles and nieces, Wylma, Crystal and great nephew, Jordan.
Bonnie was born in Winnipeg, MB. Bonnie retired from the City of Winnipeg – Parks Department after her many years of employment. During her retirement, she enjoyed travelling, often went with her friends, Vi and Pat. She had a vivid memory for remembering birthdays and anniversaries. She had a passion for keeping memories like cherished keepsakes of drawings, letters and pictures; she was the Girouard family historian. She was kind, and always willing to help her family.
When our own mother passed away, she was the oldest and took over the role of a mother. She cared for each of us and we all lived with her at different times in our lives. She influenced us and wanted the best for each of us like any mother would. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
