Obituary of MARGARET LACHO
MARGARET LACHO
(nee WILLS)
July 9, 1951 – October 9, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Lacho on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at St. Boniface Hospital. She passed peacefully with her family at her side.
Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her husband Gerry and her daughters, Christine (Stephen) Lacho and Sandra (Tyler) Katchnoski as well as her sister Donna Wills in Snow Lake, MB, her brother Dave (Tina) Wills in Stonewall, MB, and her brother-in-law Dennis (Theresa) Lacho, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Harvey and Margaret Wills.
Margaret was born in Winnipeg and moved to Brandon, Manitoba at an early age where she spent her younger years and eventually graduated from Brandon University. After moving to Winnipeg, she worked for both the federal and provincial governments and was also a resort owner in the Whiteshell. In recent years she struggled with Alzheimer's disease and eventually moved to the Middlechurch Personal Care Home.
Margaret was a kind, caring and friendly person. Her greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed travelling, the outdoors and especially her time at the family cottage. She will be sadly missed.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at Middlechurch Personal Care Home for their excellent care of Margaret as well as the staff at St. Boniface Emergency Unit for their kindness and compassion.
A private Memorial Service will be held for Margaret.
