Obituary of MARIA JOANNA CZAJKOWSKI
With great sadness, today we share that Asia (Maria) Czajkowski passed away gently on Monday, October 10th, 2022 with her family by her side at the Women’s hospital, at 54 years of age. Asia did everything she could to beat cancer. She was eternally optimistic and handled all of the challenges with grace and positivity.
Asia’s passing is mourned by her loving husband Kazimierz, her precious son Adrian (Vanessa), and daughter Victoria (Vlad), her brother (Jaroslaw Putko), two sisters Halina Brewka and Bożena Maciejuniec and their families who all loved her dearly. She was predeceased by her parents Katarzyna and Piotr Putko.
Asia was born in Płoty, Poland on May 6, 1968. She was the youngest of four children and from early childhood is remembered as a very independent and feisty young lady. Her siblings fondly remember her as quite mischievous and therefore, to keep her out of trouble they would place her in a barrel so that she would stay put!
Asia was gifted with many artistic and creative talents. In her childhood she painted all of the walls in her small room which brought it to life as a jungle and later on painted her children’s rooms too. She made family members beautiful glass ornaments last Christmas, which will forever be cherished.
Asia loved animals, especially dogs, most recently spending quality time with her beloved dog Daisy. She loved the Winnipeg Jets and had a special place in her heart for owls which she said were the wisest and most beautiful creatures. Above all else, Asia loved her family. Her two children were her pride and joy and her face would always light up when she spoke of them.
