ROBERT PETER SHELEST
June 22, 1953 – October 18, 2022
The family are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Robert Peter Shelest with his wife Joyce Boychuk by his side, on October 18, 2022
He will be missed terribly by his wife Joyce after 42 years together; son Corey; grandchildren Lucas, Jessica, Brody; stepson Brad (Chelsea, Dustin, Dylan); sister-in-law Kelly (Taylor, Jordan); 2 brothers Larry, Ken and numerous relatives.
Robert was predeceased by his Mom and Dad, Anne & Peter Shelest; sister Pat; brother Bruce and stepson Jeff Boychuk.
Soon after graduation Robert worked at several delivery companies including C.P. Express and Day & Ross.
Alongside his parents, Robert volunteered at St. Andrews Catholic Church starting at the age of 14 years and he continued there throughout his adult life.
Family wish to extend sincere thanks to all the Doctors and Nurses (his dialysis family) for extending Robert’s life for 17 more years.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Manitoba Kidney Foundation, 452 Dovercourt Dr. Winnipeg, MB, R3Y 1G4 or to the Health Sciences Dialysis Unit 6th floor.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Robert’s life will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street, Transcona.
