He will be lovingly remembered by family members Melissa (Tom), Rosie (AJ) and great grandson Connor who loved Papa so much and as well by numerous nieces-nephews and friends throughout Canada, United States and Hungary.
Tibor was born in Bercel, Hungary on July 1st, 1936. He was the middle of 9 children. It was during the Hungarian Revolution in 1956 that our father and mother decided to leave their beloved Hungary and friends and start their young married lives in the free country of Canada.
Our parents were very involved in the Hungarian community, everyone knew Boda Tibor & Marika. They were both members of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church.
Our family would like to Thank all the doctors, nurses, caregivers who have taken care of our dear Father throughout his illness and to Father Dado who gave him spiritual guidance and care.
We would like to thank all our friends and family for their continued support throughout and during this difficult time. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Tibor’s memory may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Society.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, January 28th, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Anthony of Padua Hungarian Roman Catholic Church, 365 Burnell Street. Officiating the mass will be Father Diosdado Parrenas and Father Darrin Gurr.
