SONJA LUBA INGRAM

(NEE CHORNEY)

April 6, 1934 - December 11, 2022

Mom passed quietly at Grace Hospital. She was a very proud woman, and she was also very private. She loved her family immensely. She is survived by her husband Alan. They were married for over 68 years. She is also survived by her eldest daughter Lori Jackman , and her husband Garth. Their children, son Andrew Jackman (partner Angelique Dykun), and grandchildren Bella & Sadie; and daughter Lindsay Jackman (Partner Jarrett Barber), her youngest daughter Alison Malenchak, and her husband Edwin. Their daughter, Aynsley Chomokovski (husband Patrick Chomokovski) and grandchildren Everett & Adelaide.

She was predeceased by her parents Stella and Joseph Chorney, as well as her brother Zane.

In her early years, Mom was very much the fashionista. She was very tall, slim and a rather striking woman. Mom had quite a flair for lavish entertaining and exquisite meals.

Mom was proud of many things in her life, mostly she was proud to be Ukrainian and of her Ukrainian heritage. Mom always spoke fondly of her travels with her dad back to their home country. She had many stories to tell of the Ukrainian past and the lives her family lead in Ukraine

Moms circle of friends was small but always very close, many of her friendships were life long. Mom held these friendships dear to her heart.

Mom was an animal lover, her and dad always had cats for as long as we can remember. From their beloved Valentino, Clementine to Caesar and Beatrice. Mom also always enjoyed getting to know and cuddle her Grand-pups. She loved those big cuddles from Benson, Molly and Chilli.

Mom was employed as District Manager for Avon Canada for many, many years. She was also a businesswoman and entrepreneur following her Avon career.

She will be forever loved and greatly missed by her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
